April is Autism Awareness Month!

10 Ways to Light It Up Blue
Shine a light on Autism on April 1st and 2nd. Here's how!
  1. Switch the light bulbs on your front porch from white to blue. Blue light bulbs can be purchased from most hardware stores. Learn more
  2. Shine a blue spotlight on your home or business. Spotlights and blue light bulbs can be purchased from hardware stores for less than $20!
  3. Take blue cupcakes or puzzle piece shaped cookies to work or school.
  4. Distribute blue ribbons to your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors.
  5. Encourage your Sisters, friends, coworkers or your children’s school to dress in blue for the day.
  6. Paint your fingernails and/or toenails blue!
  7. Got a little league game on Saturday, April 2nd? Coordinate with the snack shack to sell blue cotton candy or blue snow cones.

And Don't Forget! Tonight is Titanology!

Titanology - Linking the Way
A series designed to educate students on topics relevant to college life.
On March 29th at 6pm in the Reeve Ballroom – A call to action for student groups to collaborate with each other.
The purpose of this Titanology is to educate student leaders and student organizations on inclusivity, collaboration, and organizational purpose. Our goal is to provide leadership development opportunities for student organizations to collaborate with each other and provide the necessary skills that will dissolve exclusionary characteristics of student groups.
There will be small and large group activities, dialoguing, and refreshments will be provided.

The final weekend before Spring Break

Saturday as a lot of fun for the Alpha Xi Deltas! They woke up bright and early to attended the Shamrock Shuffle. Proceeds went to the Boys and Girls Club1 I heard it was a lot of fun!

Later in the day we celebrated our first annual Mother Daughter Luncheon! Many mothers drove into Oshkosh on Saturday and the Alpha Xis and their mothers went out for lunch and then went to the open house at 2pm.

To end Saturday night Sigma Pi and the Alpha Xi Deltas had a James Bond 007 social! See pictures of the pretty ladies all dressed up below!

The Alpha Xi Deltas were also asked to Homecoming 2011 by Delta Sigma Phi! It was very sweet of them. One of their members played a song on his ukulele while the chapter sang the lyrics! To be silly they made us a sign that said "Prom?"
We made them one back. :)

TGIF

Thank goodness it's Friday! It's been a long week for me. I know next week will be even longer considering how many exams I have due to the up and coming SPRING BREAK. I'll be leaving for FL in one week from today. I was just looking on Barnes and Nobles website for books to buy for the trip. I can't wait to sit on the beach, read, and relax. I really want to buy The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets Nest on MP3 so I can listen to it on the card ride down. But, it's 20 hours long and equal to 16 Cd's! My ipod already has no room on it! I guess I'll just have to take songs off my ipod. I hate doing that though.

Now I am sure you're wondering what the Alpha Xi Deltas are up to this weekend not my dilemmas on Spring Break. Tonight I'll be seeing some of my lovely sisters at Titan Nights. They are playing the movie Tangled and I really want to see it. Oh, and I am teaching Butts N guts today at 3:15 some of the ladies may be attending. Tomorrow is a BUSY day we have the Shamrock Shuffle in the morning. Then, our mother and daughter luncheon. Finally, a James Bond themed social with Sigma Pi!

Then on Sunday we have our Chapter meeting where we might just be getting asked to Homecoming :) Maybe?

What an exciting weekend! We had one of our sisters Taylor Nieland perform in the One Act plays March 3rd through the 5th. Our new memeber Vei Knight won the Miss Oshkosh Pageant Saturday night! Then another sister won a free trip to Las Vegas! I would have to stay that it was a pretty successful weekend to be an Alpha Xi Delta.

Our Chapter held our pledging ceremony tonight in Reeve and now have four new amaXIng women on the path to becoming official members. I can't wait for them to start learning all about Alpha Xi Delta.

Things to look forward to this week:
The Shamrock Shuffle
Our Mother Daughter Day
and our upcoming Social with Sigma Pi
