The Sisters of Alpha Xi Delta had a great day participating in Winter Carnival activities! Last night we finished our banner. Great jobs ladies (and Sigma Pis) for putting together a beautiful master piece! This morning the grassy area in front of Reeve Union was bumping. Great job creating Hedwig out of ice! Then, at 3pm we competed in Broomball. The ladies and gentlemen of Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Pi put up a good fight.

Blackhawk Commons Dinner
Spa night was a success last night! I didn't get cucumbers on my eyes but, I did get my nails painted by my little sis :) Tonight the ladies of Alpha Xi Delta will be having dinner at Blackhawk! I know many of the older members are excited to eat Blackhawk again. They miss the endless all you can eat buffet. I guess you can't blame them. We are meeting at 5:30pm by the doors closest to Taylor Hall. I love getting dinner with my sisters. Even when I am really busy it's a nice quick way to catch up with everyone. I don't want to be out of the loop! If anyone is interested is joining us please feel free to meet us there! We will be the large group of girls standing near the entrance and more than likely wearing our letters. :)
Happy Wednesday! (We're half way through the week!)

Spa Night
Tonight the Alpha Xi Delta's are having a spa night! Bring your favorite color nail polish and join the ladies for a relaxing night of fun. The festivities begin at 7pm at the Alpha Xi Delta household and go till 9:00pm. Attire is casual (you don't need to get all dolled up for us). If you have any question or want an Alpha Xi Delta to walk with you to the house please contact KK (aka Kayla) Hahn at hahnk03@uwosh.edu.
I'm hoping someone can give me a french manicure. I could most certainly use it. Maybe some cucumbers for my eyes. I really don't think that does anything BUT it just makes it even more fun.

Supporting Sisters and recruitment Kick off!
Thursday, February 17th
This past week many of our Alpha Xi sisters attended the play The Boys Next Door. The show ran from February 16-20. This play shows the audience a glimpse in the lives of four mentally challenged male adults and their social worker as they attempt to function independently in society. Our sisters were there not only to support the theatre department but our very own sister, Taylor Nieland, who landed two roles in the male heavy production. Taylor along with the rest of the cast did a phenomenal job portraying their characters in this humorous production that made us all laugh as well as appreciate our lives.
Monday, February 21st
We're kicking off our recruitment events tonight! Come BYOB (bring your own bowl) OF ICE CREAM at the Alpha XI Delta House! Come get to know the women of Alpha Xi Delta and eat ice cream (yum)! Start time at 7:00pm- 9:00pm. Address: 550 Algoma Blvd. Attire: Casual
Watch your step in Oshkosh today! The sidewalks are ALL ice! Have to love Wisconsin.

Busy Saturday!
Polar Plunge/ UWO Gymnastics Meet
Today the women of Alpha Xi Delta teamed up with Beta Theta Pi to participate in the Polar Plunge! My sisters made me proud today "freezing for a reason"! All the money raised went to The Special Olympics. Oshkosh is located near lake Winnebago, the lake that the ladies jump into today. I was too chicken to plunge however, you can still raise money and just not jump. The High today was 30 degrees, yes 30 degrees and I can only imagine how COLD it must have been. Pictures to come, don't you worry. :)
Also, today myself and two of my sisters attended UWO women's gymnastics team meet! They rocked it and beat UW Eau Claire. Yeah Titans! My roommates is on the team and she had the highest score on floor. I'm so proud of her.
Now off to the gym and then hanging out with my sisters tonight. :)

Taco Tuesday!
Tuesday, February 15th
The women of Alpha Xi Delta had a sisterhood event...TACO TUESDAY!
What a great idea. Who doesn't love eating tacos with their sisters? I know I do. Besides getting a break from campus food is clearly a plus. We even had home made salsa. Afterwords we watch Glee together. Any other GLEEKS out there? It was the Justin Bieber episode. I'm not personally at fan but, I know a lot of my sisters love the guy. They most definitely have Bieber Fever. But, I still loved the Glee episode. Can't wait for our next sisterhood event!
